Neuroscience of Perception
Scientific brain research forces us to revisit our ideas of perception and consciousness. Contrary to the old idea of the mind passively observing what is outside, the findings of neuroscience indicate that perception is in fact based on actively predicting what the brain will sense. This makes us the authors of our reality, actively generating the world we see and feel.
